I’m Glynis Klein, a creative introvert, non-fiction writer, and entrepreneur. I hold a bachelor’s degree in Applied Social Science, with majors in psychology and counselling.
Some journeys are direct, and some are circuitous; some are heroic, and some are fearful and muddled. But every journey, honestly undertaken, stands a chance of taking us toward the place where our deep gladness meets the world’s deep need.PARKER J. PALMER (LET YOUR LIFE SPEAK)
My life journey includes all these elements. I was born in Cape Town, South Africa, a place that shaped my early identity and resilience. Recently, my family extended our footprint to New Zealand to start our next life chapter. I live with my husband and two young-adult daughters in Wellington.
My deep gladness is found in harnessing a passion for personal growth and creative writing. I develop psycho-educational resources that foster personal development. This includes self-paced, digital courses to inspire and empower midlife adults to thrive on purpose in this oft-conflicted life season. I also publish related articles and resources on a blog called the Midlife Hours. It focuses on empowering midlife adults to access their wisdom, innate strengths, skills, and vast life experiences to flourish in this life season.
To facilitate a healthy balance between work, rest, and leisure, I enjoy nature walks in our beautiful new surroundings to refresh and reset physically and mentally.
Reading and journaling is a part of my daily practice to foster personal- and spiritual growth. In my free time, I enjoy spending quality time with family and friends. One of my favourite pastimes is to do genealogy research to capture and preserve my extended family history.
I believe we’re always evolving through our professional and individual experiences. And, that challenges are a healthy part of our growth because it fosters perseverance, patience, and resilience
- character traits the demands of our world call for today.
